‘Boyfriend’ is a new cut from Cj Pandit. Wobbly guitar chops and interjections from distant horns introduce an instant groove to the track which never really leaves. It’s a playful song that Cj Pandit came from a question: “What would happen if Prince, Bowie and Peter Gabriel all got fucked up and wrote a song together?” The outcome, remarkably, sort of answers that question. The groove of Prince, the melodies of Gabriel and the weirdness of Bowie perfectly balance each other out. The music video, which uses an almost entirely pink colour palette, is worth a watch.
